ROUND TABLE: Women’s Worlds in Qajar Iran

This Round Table will present the digital archive history project “Women World’s in Qajar Iran.” Started in 2009, this project has worked to preserve historical documents, photos, objects, audio interviews, and various materials related to the social and cultural history of women in Qajar era. Two members of the editorial staff will give presentations on the project, introducing its features, and different ways that researchers, students, and others can surf the website and contribute to the project through the recently-built “Research Platform.” The Round Table will then continue by research presentation of a scholar who has extensively used the resources of the site for his work. A final presentation will focus on the possibilities of doing history differently, given the accessibility of a multi-genre archive.
