Academic Bio:
Pardis Minuchehr is the President of the American Association of Teachers of Persian. She teaches and coordinates Persian language, literature and cinema at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her doctorate from Columbia University in Comparative Literature and Middle Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Her research focuses on issues related to Modern Persian Language and literature and Persian language teaching. She has been the program director of two Persian STARTALK awards (2009 and 2010) intended for Persian language teachers for the purpose of “Professional Development” and “Persian Authentic Materials Development.”
