
The Iranian Diaspora Studies Dissertation Award is granted biennially by the Assocation of Iranian Studies on behalf of the Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies at San Francisco State University to the author of an exceptional Ph.D. dissertation (completed within the last two years of the nomination) that investigates topics connected to the global Iranian diaspora. Dissertations written in languages other than English are accepted if they are accompanied by a condensed translation of chapters into English. AIS is now calling for nominations for dissertations completed between January 2022-November 2023. The second Iranian Diaspora Studies Dissertation Award will be presented at the 2024 AIS Biennial Conference in Mexico City, Mexico.
